Showcasing the best of the awesome Hanmer forest single track network, the Hanmer Hundy is a premier 100km XCM race – shorter options TBC around the 50k & 25k
Awesome course, based on an approximate 25km loop, taking in the majority of the single track with short forest road sections.
Elevation gain/loss approximately +/- 800m per lap.
Registration and entry to the race site will be from 5am on Sat morning, in the marquee/tent onsite at the start/finish area on McIntyre Rd.
Prize giving will be onsite as soon as practically possible after the race finish on Sat..
Tracks will remain open to the public, so we expect all competitors to be respectful of other users and other competitors at all times.

Restrictions
All races must be finished by around 6pm.
Age group categories may be introduced if numbers allow.
Minimum age for the 100km & 50km is 16 years old on race day & 13 for the 25km. Exemptions may be possible by request and ability.

- Start time is 6am (lights required for fist lap) for the 100k and 10am for the 50k & 25k.

Course Notes
Race will start on McIntyre Rd, heading up the road and back down Mach 1 to start the full lap.
100km racers will need lights to start the first lap.
Lap is 99% pure singletrack – BaseCamp – Western Link – Swamp – Lucas Lane Link – C.V. Express – Tank Track – Yankee Zephyr – Pawsons Rd – Swoop – Timberlands – Red Rock – Upper Dog Stream – Fir Trail (part or full tbc) – Big Foot – Detox – Mach 1. – Some claimed it’s better than The Whaka course….
NB: The 25km course will bypass Timberlands/Redrock and continue down Western Link to Upper dog Creek and will ride the full Fir trail loop back onto Mach 1 bypassing Big Foot & Detox.
Given the confined nature of the course there will not be any compulsory gear to carry, however you should be prepared for all weather conditions – including snow! Extreme conditions deemed likely to cause harm to competitors will result in adjustments to the distances or complete cancellation.

Be Prepared!
Competitors can expect any and all weather conditions – be prepared and stay adequately hydrated. There will be a main aid station/marshal point at the finish area junction.
Minimum Gear Requirements
There will not be any compulsory gear list but – it can go from hot sun to heavy snow in a matter of hours even in the height of summer so ensure you are prepared for all conditions.
Race Briefing
All Competitors must attend the race briefing –Race briefing will be 20 minutes prior to your race start.
